Facebook advertising can be an affordable way for real estate professionals to drive traffic and connect with new clients.

First, they must determine the objective of their ad campaign, whether it is to promote an upcoming open house or increase traffic to their website, among other things.

Next, they need to create their ad and identify their audience, and Facebook allows them to target certain groups based on such things as their interests, age, education, gender or behavior and even focus on people likely to move in the near future.

Agents using Facebook ads for the first time should start off with a small budget so they can measure their results and reassess, and they should run ads for shorter periods of time because Facebook will make their ads more prominent in order to connect with the largest amount of people in the target audience in the shortest period of time.

Facebook also gives agents access to Flex/Exclusion targeting, allowing them to choose an even more specific target audience.

Finally, after the campaign is over, agents should view their metrics to determine what worked well and identify key opportunities. Facebook allows advertisers to see how their audience has changed as a result of the ad campaign, and the results help them determine which group to target in their next condition.
