According to the Naples Daily News, La Playa Beach Resort and Club in Naples has been sold to Pebblebrook Hotel Trust for $185.5 million.
The sellers were Halstatt, who is the operational arm of the Sproul family, which is a part of the Barron Collier family, and Noble House Hotels and Resorts.
The Noble House, however, will continue to manage the club.
A little history for you. Halstatt and Noble House purchased the beachfront resort in 2001 and invested $54 million to expand and renovate the property, adding the Beach Club in 2002.
The chief executive officer of Halstatt, Katie Sproul, stated that “La Playa Beach Resort and Club is a premier beach destination for both leisure and group travel. We are proud to have overseen the evolution of such a landmark resort in Naples, and we believe Pebblebrook will continue the same high caliber of stewardship with such a remarkable asset.”
