Realtor.com and HomeAdvisor announced a new agreement to integrate HomeAdvisor’s True Cost Guide on realtor.com listings.
The addition gives homeowners information about average national and local project costs and trends in popular home repair and improvement projects. Buyers considering a property can also research the cost of an upgrade they hope to make after closing.
Cost figures for the True Cost Guide come from data submitted by homeowners. The research tool provides local project costs for over 300 types of home projects. Realtor.com users also have access to HomeAdvisor’s network of service professionals to help complete home projects. The company says that service professionals in its network undergo a criminal and financial background check prior to joining, and they’re customer rated and reviewed.
The new agreement will put more real estate related information at homeowners and sellers fingertips, no matter if they are looking for a home or want to improve the one they own.
To access local home improvement costs, read about renovation trends, or read reviews on home professionals, realtor.com users can click the HomeAdvisor True Cost Guide widget on the right hand side of any “recently sold” or “not for sale” home listing.
